Friday, December 17th

Today was our virtual Pillars of Care Assembly for Humility!  Congratulations to our December winners!

This week we also had two caroling assemblies (virtual).  Our class sang "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch."

*In my previous post, you will see the link for our virtual winter concert.

In Math at the end of this week, we continued working with symmetrical shapes.  We had a fun drawing challenge to complete the other side of a snowflake.  We also had fun with more Esti Mysteries--which use our logic, skip counting, and estimation skills.

In Social Studies, we sorted the resource cards in groups again.  This time, we tried to sort into Renewable and Non-Renewable resource categories.  We had some great discussions about whether water is renewable or not (it is) and how we need to take care our natural resources and use them appropriately.

Because of the cold temperature, we stayed in for recess and enjoyed body breaks, playing with blocks, and doing Math puzzles.

I hope everyone has a lovely winter break!  I can't wait to see you all next year!  : )

Love,

Mrs. Karr
