Mr. Fisher's Grade 4 Blog

 Good afternoon,  Mr. Fisher was back today.  We did reading and had the assembly.  We had snack and watched a video about where our waste goes when we flush the toilet.  We read a story called "A Family is a Family is a Family." We wrote about what makes our family special.  We did estimation math.  We had music and then gym at the end of the day.  Reminder, no school Monday!

 Mr. Fisher will be away Mon-Wed due to illness.  He can't wait to see you upon his return!

 Good afternoon,  We did reading. We did math. We did problems similar to yesterday. We had snack.  We read a story about wisdom in the libary.  In gym, we did an obstacle course and played snakes in the grass.  We had mindfulness and finished the day with art.  Our mushrooms grow kit should arrive today and we can begin our experiment on Monday!  Good afternoon, We started with reading today. We did a puzzle for math.  We played games in gym.  We learned about the author of Silverwing, his name is Kenneth Oppel. We wrote a biography about him.  We listened to chapter 5 of our novel.  This afternoon, we did art. We drew a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. We read a story about him yesterday.  We had outdoor recess today! We did Mathletics or Raz Kids to end the day. 

 Good afternoon, Today we did reading to start the day.  We did a class meeting to begin the week. We did gymnastics in Phys. Ed. We had recess and snack.  We started reading the book Silverwing last week. We reviewed the first two chapters and answered some questions about them.  We brainstormed some character traits of our main character, Shade.  We started reading chapter 4 to end the morning. This afternoon, we did science. We learned about how mushrooms can be used to filter contaminants out of water. We also labelled a diagram of a mushroom. We ended the day with health. We talked about things that "bug" us.  Rapid test kits were sent home today with an information sheet. 

Welcome back! Mr. Fisher is back with us! Yesterday both Mr. Fisher and Ms. Karr were at the school. We did activities together.  We did a sharing circle and some math games.  We also learned about resources in social studies.  Ms. Karr gave us each a book mark when she left. We will miss her! Today we did reading and we wrote about things we learned with Ms. Karr.  We learned about our pillar of the month. It is wisdom. We watched a story about wisdom.  We finished our health from yesterday. We drew and wrote about our worries.  We did math this afternoon. We are doing math with a calendar.  We had a substitute for the last hour of the day because Mr. Fisher had an appointment.  We did Mathletics and Raz Kids to end the day.  Have a great afternoon!
